The start of a new school year is just around the corner, and we’re excited to help you get ready! To make sure you have a fantastic year, we created a checklist of everything you’ll need.

If you ordered a supply kit through the PTA, it’ll be waiting for you in your student’s classroom during Sneak-a-Peek and Back-to-School Night on August 29th, 2024.

Back to School Checklist

In addition to having all the correct supplies, consider the suggested to-do list below.

Learn

Make sure you’re up to speed with all the necessary information.

1. Check HAC to find your student’s teacher.
   • You can check this post on our site with instructions for how to do this. Checking HAC early ensures you’re prepared and can help ease those first-day jitters.
2. Visit the RFE Official School website for school-specific information.
3. Contact the PTA Board at ringfactorypta@gmail.com with any questions.
   • If you have questions or want to learn about volunteer opportunities, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Connect

Stay connected with the school community and the PTA.

4. Join the PTA.
   • Sign up and buy your membership today. Help us support the school, stay informed, and get involved in your child’s education.
5. Add RFE’s Phone Number (410-638-4186) to your contacts.
   • Having the school and teacher contacts handy can save time when you need to reach out quickly.
6. “Like” Ring Factory PTA and Ring Factory Elementary School on Facebook, and follow RFE Art on Instagram.

Complete

Check off these important tasks to ensure a smooth start.

7. Check your settings on the HCPS Parent Portal.
   • Make sure you are receiving phone, email, and texts for outreach from HCPS and RFE.
   • Have your child’s cafeteria PIN available.
8. View the 2024-2025 Parent-Student Handbook and Calendar.
9. Complete and return all forms sent home to your child’s teacher.
